Health Requirements
To become an egg donor, you must meet specific health requirements. Our comprehensive screening ensures both your well-being and the success of the donation process. These requirements help us maintain the highest standards of care for both donors and recipient families. Review the criteria below to see if you qualify to join our egg donor program.
- Between the ages of 18 - 30 years old
- At least 5 feet tall
- Good general health physically and mentally
- Have both ovaries
- Have regular menstrual periods
- Have no known reproductive disorders or abnormalities
- Not have psychiatric hospitalizations
- STI (Sexually transmitted infections) or STD free for at least 12 months

Lifestyle
Requirements
- • Non-Smoker: Must be a non-smoker.
- • Drug-Free: No use of recreational or illicit drugs.
- • Contraception: Must not be using Depo Provera, Nexplanon, or Implanon as birth control methods.
- • Breastfeeding: Not currently breastfeeding.
- • Alcohol: Willingness to refrain from alcohol consumption once injections begin.
- • Protected Intercourse: Commitment to abstain from unprotected intercourse during specific weeks of the donor cycle.
- • Zika Risk: Must not have traveled to a Zika risk area in the last 6 months.
Family History
Requirements
- • Family History: Ability to provide up-to-date family health history, including any relevant medical conditions and health status.
- • Health Background: No history of multigenerational familial diagnoses such as inheritable cancers, heart disease before age 55, or genetic disorders.
Other Requirements

- • Education: You should have some education beyond high school (e.g., enrolled in college, completed college courses, or earned a certification, bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D.) or demonstrate success in your chosen career path.
- • Responsiveness: A willingness to respond to communications from Patriot Conceptions and medical staff within 24 hours.
- • Screening: Be open to completing both medical and psychological screenings.
- • Medication: A willingness to use injectable medications as part of the egg donation process.
- • Appointments & Flexibility: You must have a flexible schedule and commit to attending all mandatory appointments.
- • Travel: Be willing to travel if necessary.
